According to experts, the award is an acknowledgement of the hotel's efficiency and high-quality services.
The hotel, one of the most emblematic establishments in Cuba's tourism sector, was declared a National Monument and has been visited by prominent personages from all over the world.
Located on a hill by the sea in the downtown neighborhood of El Vedado, the hotel has an eclectic architectural style.
Over the past 80 years, the Hotel Nacional de Cuba has been visited by world-renowned guests such as Winston Churchill, and artists Frank Sinatra, Marlon Brandon, Robert Redford and Robert de Niro.
